Where to use you AMEX card in Malaysia (2)- Petrol Stations/ Touch N Go Top Up
As many know, most petrol stations would prefer VISA and Master Card because of it's lower service charge. So many petrol stations have stopped using AMEX.
Although this may not give you a total of 5%rebate , it still gives you some rebate ( must pay for 1% service charge,which is better than not getting any rebate at all).
Petrol Stations
1. Petron/Esso mobil stations-Jalan Genting Setapak, next to Mc Donalds; Jalan Ipoh both stations; Jalan Karak; HICOM Shah Alam , Jasamaju, Melaka Tengah, Bukit Lanjan, It is generally accepted in most petrol stations in Penang and Ipoh
2. Shell- Jalan Bercham Ipoh before entering the PLUS highway heading towards KL, R&R Tapah
As for Touch N Go top up, many places like Seng Heng and Sen Q have stopped providing the services, including some petrol stations. Here is a short list of places that still accept AMEX cards.

1. MyMydin in Bkt Tinggi, 3.00834,101.438747
2. Petronas near Kinrara Furniture Street (LDP after the Puchong toll)
3. Petronas Ampang Taman Permai Jaya
4. MyMydin Bdr Tun Hussien Onn
5. Petronas Jln Bukit Jalil
6. Petronas at Desa Sri Hartamas
7. Caltex Salak South Garden, charges 3%.
